Hi Folks,

I couldn't help adding a post to this thread.

Gotta spend some money to get good optics, but you don't have to spend
thousands.

Eagle Optics (they have a web site by that name) sold me a pair of their
birding glasses that have been truly great. I have the 8X42 Raptor.

While out birding, I've passed them to folks who are used to Swarovski's,
etc, and everyone has been impressed. I get a thrill every time I use
them. Waterproof and N-purged.

One serious dousing (way more than two hours last year (my Force-5 racing
sailboat and I got into some tail wind that was more than we could
handle)) left my first pair fogged and Eagle replaced them no questions
asked.

Happy paddling.

Bill O
