Help!!! I have just returned from a paddle and roll session, during which my Apelco 520 VHF was on my buoyancy vest. It was scanning the whole time, and receiving loud and clear. On getting home I turned it on again to discharge the battery before recharging. The speaker stopped working, a repeat of a problem that I had repaired under warranty last year. I took the battery off and discovered it was bubbling from under a contact, up into the contacts of the radio body. How do I clean the contacts, to stop any corrosion, without doing further damage?
