Hi Jim,

There are a lot of sites for formal Risk analysis with rigorous approaches
to risk assessment. I haven't seen any examples specific to paddling. A
table with these headers may help for a presentation. I'd like to see what
you come up with.
- ignoring strict analysis formuli may be sufficient for some levels of
presentation

(Comma separated)
Activity, Failure Mode, Cause, Effect, Impact, Probability, Risk, Risk
control, Residual Risk.
I - L,M,H; P - L,M,h; I*P=R

Example line:
Paddling, Loss of bouancy, water ingress through hole in hull, serious loss
of stability and floatation, H, (depends - L?), M, Charts - training -
pretrip checks, L

Hope this helps,
Graham Bennett, gbennett at shaw <dot> ca
