Mike, I carved a *back of thigh rest* from cc foam and velcro'd it to the keel. In the center of the foam I carved a long G stick like channel through the foam and it actually works in holding a G stick in place while reentering and rolling or used outrigger style. You can skip the *back of thigh rest* approach and just carve a 5 inch wide block of foam with a channel to hold the paddle and keep it on the deck as other foam paddle float users do.
