CT seems to be less problematic for paddling a canoe. It is easier to limit the motion of one or the other hands. 2. She has probably been doing lots of things to reduce the problem, but one she may not have thought of is to switch the mouse to the left hand (assuming she has more problem with the right, which seems common for computer users). I did that years ago and it helped my then-ailing right hand a lot, and improved my office productivity by a significant margin. It also helped keep people away from my computer. After about a month I was almost as good on the mouse with my left hand as with my dominant right. But it meant I had my good hand for the number pad, or other keys, or taking written notes, all while talking on the phone and mousing to find what I needed.
