I looked through the Paddlewise archives and was unable to find anything on kayak trailers so I apologize if I'm bringing up old issues. I've been away from the list for a couple of years because I haven't been kayaking due to physical problems. Surgery has corrected the problem but during that time we had to replace our vehicle. We got a 4Runner. When my wife and I went to pick up my new QCC 600 kayak from the terminal, the two of us had problems getting it on the rack. We're both a little over 5'6" and we had a heck of a time loading and unloading. Since she doesn't kayak I'm really concerned if I'll be able to do this by myself. My question concerns kayak trailers. Is this a viable option? If it is, is bouncing a concern? Any recommendations ... of any kind? My present rack is a Yakima w/saddles ... which used to be reachable.
