[Paddlewise] The Great Rivers Marathon

Hello all,

September 6th from Shakopee to St. Paul, Minnesota USA. 26 miles row, 
canoe or kayak.

I'm not affiliated with the race so that's everything I know about it 
but it sounds like it will be a fun event for those of us in the 
midwest.

A group of us are already planning on competing and have developed 
some new categories to compete with that old-hat concept of 
"fastest". For example, who can spot the most  bird species en route, 
haul the most junk, get towed the most, capsize creatively, best 
costume. If you can't beat 'em.... um, I guess you just can't beat 
'em so why not have some fun losing.
