Hi, I just sold my son's Umiak after three happy years. He learned to do wet exits and rescues in it at age 10. It is tough for him to keep up with a group of adults in it -- but other than that it was a great youth boat. But do NOT expect to keep it for kids in their teens unless you are in a family of small-footed kids....my 11 year old has man's size 8 and my daughter ladies size 10 and neither of them can fit their feet in the Umiak any longer. It was the only reason we sold it!
