Peter, Did you have a bad experience without one? I do have to admit that I don't think "backbandabondonment" is for everyone. It takes strength and technique to get by without one and is rather Spartan. I am still experimenting with it and have not fully committed to it yet. I'd like to get some more time in the surf with it first.
