When I come down from a hike at altitude (anything above 8,000 ft), a
small amount of condensation accumulates under the glass. It eventually
disperses (perhaps after weeks), with no apparent effect on accuracy.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good watch that does not do
this?

If you are getting condensation under your crystal you have water in your
watch. This is not particuarly good. I have had diving watches for years
and not had a condensation problem. Maybe a jeweler could open it up
and dry it out for you?? My kayaking watch is a reasonably cheap TIMEX
expedition. Cost about $50, is analog (not digital so I can see it in all light
conditions), is waterproof (resistent they like to say these days) to 50M (I
think- anyway deeper than I plan to go) and if I lose it I will not grieve too
much. I don't know how the watch would act at 15K feet altitude??

I have a 1 piece Werner Little Dipper paddle that I'd like to convert
to a 2 piece. The paddle, which came with a used boat that I
recently purchased, is right-hand control and I am left handed --- so
without the conversion it is of little use to me.

Any guidance on how to do the conversion and info on where I could
get the parts would be appreciated.

Brian
