Weird. I went into the crawlspace to work on my Arctic Tern 14 kit at 7 PM. It seemed like maybe an hour passed. I came out to take a break and went on line. I was astonished to see 5 hours had passed. Was I abducted by aliens and suffered a time loss like on The X Files or have I discovered the pleasures of kayak building? Hmmmmmm.......

I'm hearing more and more about those Arctic Terns - I may have to take
a look at them. Let us know how you like it once it's in the water.

Boat building sure is addictive. I haven't finished my first yet (Outer
Island), and I have the next four lined up and ready to go (not all for
me - 1 more for me, 2 are for the kids, and the 4th is actually a
canoe).

At that point, we'll have 9 boats.... at what point do you have to
register yourself as a Navy?

Actually, the count may be up by another boat soon. An acquaintance
heard about my boat building project and told me about a non folding
Folbot that he built 30 years ago that was sitting out behind his house
in need of repair. That was just last night, so I haven't seen it yet.
He hasn't laid a finger on it for 20 years, so I'm trying to talk him
out of it. We'll see.....

Rick

ANSWER: When your boats run up huge cost overruns which you dump on the
taxpayers, AND: When you're full of horny sailors.

So, maybe some of us are halfway there?
