I would try Yakima or Thule bars and towers (like A400) that need no
bolting.  Works good for my no-rain-gutters car (which is not Honda).  I
used a sleeping pad and rope tie-ups through the windows, but eventually
invested in a used Yakima saddles and rollers and have never regreted since
then.  I din't know roof cross-section details for Civic, but some
rails/channels are too flimsy to put any stress on them.  Besides, bolting
through the roof will decrease resale value of the car.
