I gave it to a friend and she has found it quite useful. She has a Honda and a 14' Perception kayak. I forget name, maybe a Carolina. One thing I noticed, there is a couple different ways to mount it to the front rack if you have a fairing, so try mounting it out as far as possible but watch your head (ouch). If you mount it to the rear rack you should have no problem.
