[Paddlewise] Clothing Recs for Ocean Kayaking?

Hi All,

   I'm new to the list; and also new to kayaking.  In October, my wife and I
will be travelling to NZ and have planned to participate in a couple of
overnight ocean kayaking trips.  Most of the necessary equipment will be
provided for us, but we'll need to ensure that we've got adequate apparel.
The temperature should be in the 50's and 60's.  How should we plan to dress
and does anyone have any recommendations on where to pick up the requisite
gear?
