I just completed a two week 180 nm kayak trip in SE Alaska. Used Nike's new
Tokette booties. Worked great even worn them flying up and back. I wear size
11.5 but had to order size 13 to get good fit.

I, too, am wearing the Toketees and they are working out very well.

My foot size is 10-11 and the Nike 10s were too tight across the metatarsal
and not wide enough. The Toketees are rather narrow and fit much like a
rock shoe.

The 11 fit fine and allows a lightweight poly or wool sock to be worn.

I had to do a steep angle large rock portage last week and the Toketees
performed very well. The heel retention really works when traversing areas
of sticky mud. I've done a few cross current swims w/ boat in tow in a fast
river and there was no slippage or interference.

I ended up with both styles; the Toketee mid w/ ankle coverage and the low
version which is similar to a low top tennis shoe. I paddle a hybrid boat,
Dagger Crossover, and this is one of the few specialty shoes that easily fit
in the bow without interference.

Nike did well with this design.
