Jim Said: > I am considering either the Pygmy Coho or Arctic Tern as my next kit. It > will be a day boat & weekend camping boat. Opinions as to how appropriate > these boats are for these activities? Jim, I think they are both great boats, but I am prejudiced. The Coho and the smaller Artic Tern 14 were favorably reviewed in Sea Kayaker Magazine. I think they are engineered to be the strongest, lightest S & G kayaks available, and they perform well also. My first Coho at 39 pounds was much stronger than a fiberglass hull. I am building a second one now. I have an illustrated construction article at my web site. Just go to my home page and select "Kayak" and then select "Build a Pygmy Boats Coho Page".
