Mark, thanks for the update. I'm going to archive this e-mail so that I don't forget all the particulars again :-) I'd like to ask you about it once more in early January just to see how the year ended up, if you don't mind. My paddling has really suffered this year as well. My daughters lit a fire under their athletics, so we've been busy getting "bleacher butt" all year. At one point, lasting for 3 weeks in the height of all the overlap, I had 2 kids on 5 teams. That was NOT a fun 3 weeks! It wasn't supposed to work out that way, but when they advanced to Regional, State and then National tournaments (we thought they'd lose at the Regional level) we got into a heavy overlap that killed us. Right now, it's back to one team each, so it feels almost like a vacation! When there has been time to paddle, the kids have been going with me, so a 4 hour 15nm paddle has turned into a 1 hr 2nm "fun float".
