"Would be a lot more than the $19-$26 we pay now but look at how much people
pay for electric and foot pumps."
And look at how much people keep paying to replace the hand pumps that wash
off their decks.
Foot pump cost: 1 Taiwanese bilge pump, $35.00, 1 length plastic tube, 60
mm, $2,00, a little leftover glass and resin, $0.00, 4 stainless bolts and
nuts, $10.00, 1 length bungy cord, $2.00, 1 saddle fitting, $1.00. $50 AUD,
or roughly $33 USD.
Electric pump cost: 1 Rule 500 pump, $36.00, 1 2 AH gel battery, $25.00,
switch, $5.00, wires, $2.00, leftover glass, $0.00, tubing $10.00, $78.00 or
roughly $54 USD.
The cost is a really a little labour to do the job. The first step is to
realise the benefits.
Cheers, PT
