In 1993 I was part of a Sea kayak race from Pelican, to Juneau with a mandatory rest stop in Hoonah . A fellow from Sitka won the race. I remamber we all started in Pelican at Noon and he arrived in Hoonah at midnight. a distance of 60 nm in 12 hours.
