I'd appreciate some suggestions for pickup racks. This is for a Mexican friend who will be spending a few days in Miami at the end of September prior to embarking on a cruise. He's actually a friend of the cayuco chief, so, Rafael, please jump in and offer any comments you may have. I will forward the info to Juan in Veracruz so he can view online and, if he decides to order, can have them shipped to my house. The package(s) should be compatible with airline regulations. IOW, not too many boxes or else they'll be charged as excess, regardless of the weight. Or something that we could put into one duffel bag. many thanks. sandy kramer miami *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). Hi Sandy, I have no experience on commercial pick up racks. I would place a Yakima bar over the pick up roof, which Juan can get in México, then I would place a frame with hinges, that can be removed, on the back square holes of the pick up. I´d place a vertical bar on both horizontal bars, to carry the kayaks on their side. I am sure there are very good commercial options. Best Regards, Rafael. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). Florida Bay Outfitters carry Thule and Jet's Fla Outdoors have Yakima. I did not think you could get these commercial racks in MX. However, I realized that I had forgotten to ask for some creative options, preferably with photos. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
