I couldn't get to the article from the link posted on the Paddlewise digest. I probably didn't use it soon enough and the featured articles changed (and the archives was membership only) so I googled Paddling and Jakarta and found an article but I'm not sure it is the same one as you linked to. The article I found at http://asia.news.yahoo.com/031025/kyodo/d7ud4vag0.html contained this sentence: "At night, he will usually sleep on a transportation ministry ship that will track his kayak." My questions are: How do I get on this trip? Is part of the 6 million yen ($55,555 US) this trip is expected to cost going for the transportation ministry ship or was that just a per?.
