One that takes my eye is the Pentax Optio 33WR http://www.dpreview.com/news/0309/03090301pentax33wr.asp At face value it looks like an ideal camera for paddling, but has anybody else used one? I would like to hear an independent review from a kayaking perspective. Cheers Grant This Pentax Optio 33WR looks interesting. I have a Pentax WR90 film camera for five years (still working) that I attach to my PFD for year-round paddling with lots of dunkings (including being lost underwater and recovered by a diver) so I respect JIS Class 7. I have a SH 460 VHF that is JIS Class 7 and it has survived paddling unprotected. I am now using Sony P9 in an underwater housings for the last two years and love it. It is 2.4 x 4.6 x 6.2 in. about the same size as the WR90. I was looking at the DSC-U60 http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Sony/sony_dscu60.asp 1.7 x 2.4 x 4.6 in. for its smaller size. The Pentax Optio 33WR 1.2 x 3 x 3.2 has a zoom, a larger LCD, higher resolution and a lot more features.
