What is the water temperature in the Potomac River in the DC area?

Is there a reporting station or is the temperature reported in any 
news papers? 

I specifically need the water temperature from Friday, Nov 21, 2003.
Where is water level reported? I believe the river was up somewhat 
with strong currents.

I gather that day was warm (70 degrees) and sunny with only modest 
breeze.
