With the boat being only 22" wide it might be a tad tight. If you like the CD boats then try the Sirocco. That is the plastic version of the Gulfstream. The Sirocco is 23 1/2" and the GS is 23 1/4" wide. That inch and a half makes a world of difference. Current Designs makes great boats, as you already know. The Sirocco is not nearly as hard tracking as the GS. With the skeg down the GS will go through most challenges. The Sirocco asks for a bit more work but is a lot more fun. Joan A Valley Canoe Products Argonaut might be good for you. It's a high-volume, high performance boat that is meant for heavier-bigger paddlers and/or expedition paddling. See http://www.atlantickayaktours.com/Pages/Retail/Boats/VCP/Argonaut.shtml for a description, photos (deck and side views), and specs. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
