Lenze, I will agree with you that deck lines SHOULD be standard
equipment on all sea kayaks (as well as toggles).

However, not having them, only makes a "T" rescue more difficult, but
not impossible.

Steve Holtzman (who paddles a British designed boat, built in 
Canada, in US waters).
