[Paddlewise] Great Sea Kayaking

	Hi Scott:

	I would suggest any list of great seakayaking journeys would be incomplete
without the following [ not listed in any particular order]:

	# Lindemann's solo crossing of the Atlantic in the 1930s

	# Ed Gillet's solo crossing of the Pacific from Monterey to Hawaii in 1987

	# Paul Caffyn's solo circumnavigation of Australia in the 1980s

	# Oskar Speck's solo journey from Europe to Australia in the late 1930s.


	No doubt other journeys by Gillet,  John Dowd [ South America and
Caribbean] , Eric Stiller [ Sydney to Darwin ] should be considered in the
modern era...

	That should set the discussion going....
