Happens all the time when I duct-tape aluminum frame members together for air luggage. I'm disappointed with 3M transparent tape, btw - it's expensive, but doesn't stay any longer than black duct tape (silver tape seems to be even worse than transparent). The strongest solvent that I know is Goof-off - removes about any glue. It is very poisonous, use it in open air only. I also have good results with a strong stain-remover - canadian product, called The Soap Factory. Cheaper than Goof, also smells nasty and should be used in a ventilated room. Could be another brand too - look for one that removes blood, paint etc, not just grease. Both require gloves - no burns, but skin becomes very dry. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
