I once went winter camping with a group to Hart-Miller island in the winter. Hart-Miller is located in the Chesapeake Bay near Baltimore MD. After we had all shed our dry suits and finished up dinner we were kicking back just enjoying the early evening. As it turned dark I made the comment at how little light pollution there was this close to Baltimore. It wasn't just a small comment - I wouldn't let it go as I was just so amazed. Everyone kept looking at me strange, so I assumed they just didn't care about what I was talking about. At some point I tilted my head down while glancing up, and noticed why everyone was so puzzled at my comments - I was still wearing my sunglasses...
