Once the sail is up, it is fine, but I find putting the sail up or taking it down 'very' precarious in a kayak with no outriggers. If I had to do it again, I would get one of the V sails with control lines that allow the sail to be raised/lowered more easily. I keep telling myself I am going to modify my Spirit to do this one day...
