[Paddlewise] North Brooks Peninsula

I understand that you can take your car down logging roads to get to the
coast just north of Brooks Peninsula on Vancouver Island.

Does anyone know if there have been problems with vandalism in this area?
Are there alternatives nearby? We have been at other places where it has
been possible to pay someone to watch your car (ie park it on their land:
(for example at San Joseph Bay). If there anyplace around there where
someone will watch your car?
