I was just reading in a hiking book about the "spectacular" Lake Chelan trail (in eastern Washington, in the U.S.), apparently passing through the deepest gorge in the country, and am thinking about kayaking it instead (probably during the fall months). Has anyone here done this trip? What'd you think of it? Adequate numbers of places to land and rest or camp? Any boat-in only camps?
