Hi,

We have a student coming as part of a group who is an amputee. She
has one hand. Her other arm extends to the wrist. Am trying to think
of low tech solutions for adapting a paddle or creating a prosthetic.
Any ideas or personal experience would be appreciated.

Ideas so far:
1. Put a pogie on the paddle and then tape around the pogie with
duck tape (or a wide piece of Velcro) to draw it tight to (around)
the forearm.

2. Use a wrist brace (designed to keep you wrist straight while
typing to avoid tendonitis). The brace will attach to the forearm and
the paddle shaft will pass through the thumb hole. Might need a bit
of extra securing to stop the brace from slipping of as the forearm
tapers down.

Either method will require some padding on the end of the arm to
avoid rubbing against the paddle.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Phil
