[Paddlewise] Northern Cal Paddling

I am going to be in Northern Cal for the 2nd and 3rd weeks of Sept.  I am interested in finding some flatwater, protected paddling trips for solo days or when offshore conditions are above my level.  I was looking at the coastal sections of the Eel, Mattole, Noyo, Big, and Navarro Rivers as possible candidates for these protected trips.  I am concerned that water levels may be too low for comfortable paddling in my fiberglass sea kayak.  I would appreciate any info you might have on these rivers or on other suggestions for paddling trips in the area  between Eureka and Point Reyes either river or offshore.
