Hi. Has anyone found a truly waterproof, and preferably indestructible headlamp? I frequently paddle at night. Sometimes I leave during daylight, and return after dark. With autumn coming on this will be the case more and more. I'd like a headlamp I can just leave in my pfd, that will survive frequent submersion and rescue practice without getting broken. Or am I just asking too much? I currently have a Princeton Aurora, which is small and light, but just not up to the abuse it gets in my pfd pocket. I rarely paddle at night but use a small, waterproof very bright hand-held light that is attached to a headband. There are a few different headbands available, I think. Mine is from Campmor, called a Jakstrap and is about $5. I like that it is compact, so it fits in a pfd pocket and there are no wires to go bad as on many headlamps.
