James, Unfortunately, I will be out of the country, otherwise, I'd get you a boat to borrow. Meanwhile, check out the CKF web site and post a message on their email list. www.ckf.org. There are usually a bunch of paddles going on and somebody should be able to bring an extra boat and pick you up. No boat rental places to my knowledge anywhere in Santa Monica. Might be able to rent a SOT at the beach though.
