Where are you going to start and end?  The north end is good, but the 
number of cottages and private land increases to the south.

There are lots of spots to camp - any Crown land is a potential 
camping area.  Just avoid the First Nations reserves and obvious 
private land. The topo maps and the small craft charts are both good 
references.   If you go as far south as The Massassauga Prov Park and 
Georgian Bay National Park, you'll need to have made reservations in 
advance or paddle in to book a site on the day you arrive (the latter 
is not a good plan in peak summer).
