So..perhaps arguably it was not HOURS in rough sea, but I towed two young teenager girls in an NDK Triton double kayak (using a Kokatat rescue vest and towline with bungee segment) for what seemed to be hours (2?) on pretty calm water (as they sang, stuck their feet overboard, and occasionally dipped a paddle). It was surprisingly easy. However, I don't think it would have remained so in rough water.

......"I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has towed someone for HOURS
in rough sea, using a body-anchor system. I have only ever towed people with
a deck mounted system and have been glad that the hull anchor point is taking
the strain, not me. Again, a situation at sea is a whole lot different to a
whitewater rescue. Cheers, PeterR , Australia."
