While talking to some of my paddling buddies today, I mentioned that my trusty Gulfstream of '98 vintage was going to get a needed repair on the top deck where a small crack in the FG appeared and that while I was at it, since the gel coat on the hull was wearing away in several places; I was also going to have a new coat of gel put on both the hull and the deck. Since this boat is already heavier than a stock Gulfstream because of previous repairs that I had to have done, the comments this morning were that when my boat was finally finished, it would make Doug Lloyd's boat seem light.
