That's about an hour so it's a lot more appealling since it doesn't really require training ;-) A loop course is nice because you can avoid any shuttling headaches. Although it is nice to have some current assisting... For the first year I would do: 2 person canoe racing canoe - if you have any in the area or they show up... Mens sea kayak Men's racing kayak/surf ski (if you have any in the area) Women's sea kayak Women's racing kayak/surf ski (if you have any in the area or they show up) Youth sea kayak - probably 16 and under. For a subsequent year you can add groups.
