I had the extreme good fortune to billet Wendy Killoron for a few days 
before and after her epic accomplishment, and to paddle a stretch of  my own 
home province of Nova Scotia with her. She is one amazing individual, a 
kayaker to the bone.

I believe Ms. Lewis is claiming to be the first around PEI, but that is 
easily corrected.   What she did in the name of cancer research is not at 
all diminished by being second.
