The hatch covers on WS boats have a poor seal. After roll practice
there is almost always water in *all* compartments.

Derek,
Interesting that you mention this. Yesterday I was in a kayak shop where one
of the customers had just come back from a paddle the day before. He was n a
WS Tsunami paddling a FL river with some moderate current. He got tangled in
a tree and dumped. Once he got himself extricated and back into his boat he
had not realized that the entire front hatch had filled with water and could
not understand why his boat would not turn. He subsequently dumped again. He
wrote this event rather casually that the water was rushing by the pinned
boat and of course it would force itself under the hatch.
