You can also buy silica gel packets in different sizes - though they can be hard to find. Commercial packets have additives that indicated by colour the degree of saturation - once saturated, heat to dry and re-use. I've found huge differences in prices from one place to another. A local shop sells Peli silica gel containers for Pelican boxes at twice the price of the identical looking item from Lee Valley Tools.
