There are a fair number of "paddlecaches" (I like that term - nice!) in the Mid-coastal Maine area - I have snagged a three part multi-cache that takes you to separate islands in Pushaw Lake (just north of Bangor). There's also one parked on an Island in the middle of the Penobscot River in the Bangor area; plus one on an island in Brewer Lake. And if it's salt water you're looking for, I've had my eye on a number of caches located on islands off of Deer Island (Stonington area) which is probably one of the prettiest places to paddle on the East Coast. I don't know of an easy way to locate caches that are only boat accessible other than exhaustively reading the cache database. I believe if you are a paying member, you have access to some other mapping and database query tools that would make searching for paddlecaches easier. Probably there is somebody out there that has more details on how this is done.
