So Canada's tropics are snowbound.  That's funny!!

Here in the eastern Great Lakes region, I should be paddling - it's spring 
weather now; has been for a while.  Folks are gardening and worried that the 
flowers will start coming out soon.  Hey, I can send you a useful winter tool - 
it's called a shovel!  :-)

Months ago, I was considering entering the Keskinada cross-country ski race. 
However, even if it snowed tomorrow, I would only have a few weeks to get into 
ski shape (swimming and such keeps me in general shape, but...).

I looked at Lake Ontario earlier today (two blocks away) and it was pretty calm 
for a winter day.  I really should be paddling...
