Hi, I was wondering if anyone has seen/used the blue charts for Mexico/Baja? How are they for detail, contours, depths, reefs, currents? Do they have any land/shore/contour info? After many miles of paddling down there I'm contemplating changing over to a Map GPS like a 76CX with SD memory card from a GPS 72. At least all of the old waypoints/camps/landings should show on an actual map background. Not sure if the maps will be good enough to be useful, or if they will be more like a screen wallpaper. The paper charts will always be there on deck. Wondering if the biggest advantage will be to Garmin from selling all that locked map data. Also, What software do you like (and why) for down/up loading and managing managing routes and waypoints? Hope all you are having a great New Year, and planning paddling trips in 2007.
