I think there is a diving resort there - I've always by-passed the park when kayaking up there. I think there is a hot tub for use though - might be nice. The conditions can vary wildly in the vicinity, so use the usual caution with respect to unsatable southeries and alternatively, afternoon westerlies. If you want any specific info, I can get it for you from my contacts. Generally, it is the crossing from Port Hardy over that needs real attention. Tide and wind can conspire...and boat traffic. Fog can be a bummer up there in summer at times.
