US NAVY COVERALLS ANTI EXPOSURE CWU-62/P

I would love to buy them, but it says it's a small size. If anyone
gets them, let me know how they are.

Having worked on these [repairing them] while I was in the Navy, you
wouldn't want to paddle a boat in them. They're not made for swinging
your arms around as you would during a paddle. We did small repairs, and
also new suits we put on the appropriate sized booties for the pilot,
then leak tested. I was an "Aircrew Survival Equipment Specialist"
better known as a Parachute Rigger [or "Aviation Seamstress Mate".] You
sit very stationary as a pilot compared to a paddler.

1987 is 20 years old... to quote Elmer Fudd "be vewy vewy cayful" I
would expect the gaskets to self-destruct putting it on. Though in 1987
(when I was on board the USS Coral Sea [a/c carrier]) we were using
white gaskets/socks for the drysuits, so maybe the black ones are
better/newer. I've been out since 1990.

YMMV

I can tell you that I purchased one of the Mustang
survival suits on Ebay a while back. This one
belonged to a rural fire department, and it appeared
to be in reasonable condition. One of the seams was
gone and required repair.

Although this suit would be a wise thing to have
onboard a vessel intended for offshore, this suit
would be useless for a kayak. It was simply too bulky
and stiff. On the other hand, if you were on a
sinking sailboat, you'd be glad to have it. It would
most definitely extend the time before hypothermia
sets in.

I noticed that the dry suit in the ebay listing came
with a fabric liner. If the liner is in decent shape,
the liner alone may make the purchase worthwhile.
