Their guarantee sounds pretty straightforward, I would let them honor it. Even if you are to blame, they said they would replace it "period". It would actually be to their benefit if they do. Nothing builds respect for a brand like honoring a simple guarantee. You will likely have very good things to say about QCC if they honor their promise.
