My experience with variants of those fluorescent colors (orange, yellow, etc.) is that the dyes die sooner than other colors. Probably because they absorb UV and retransmit as visible light, just like laundry whitener/brighteners. If it is that faded, Brad, I'd be wondering about the fabric. The dyes help protect the fabric from UV damage. One full season of day after day summer sun will usually toast a nylon rain fly to the shred point.
