That is also to be taken for what it is, a statment that is usually true, 
but not always: I doubt Hannes Lindemann could roll his heavily loaded 
Klepper Aerius II, when he crossed the Atlantic - he knew how to get
back onboard if the boat accidentally rolled, which it did, at least twice,
in hurricanes, and then the weather was good he took a daily bath,
which naturally needed re-entering skills.

So train re-entering, and, if feasable with your type of  kayak, rolling, 
if you're going off shore!
